Not all Pins in NEO: The World Ends With You are meant to be equipped for combat purposes. Some of those that you will obtain for story progression, or as enemy drops, are known as tradeable, or exchangeable, Pins. Once you have obtained enough of these Pins, you can exchange them for some rare items from the many shops found around Shibuya.

As you play the game’s main campaign, you will receive pins like Rare Metal and Tektite for completing certain tasks or as enemy drops. Eventually, you will start noticing that certain items in shops cannot be purchased, as you can only trade Pins to obtain them. Below, you will find how to farm all of these exchangeable Pins and what you can obtain by trading them in.
