The Unforgivable Curses are extremely powerful spells, only usable by masters of the Dark Arts. The most infamous spell is of course the Killing Curse, also known as Avada Kedavra, the bright green flash of energy that silently kills. So, how does one acquire this forbidden power in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened? Through a mobile game-style gacha system, naturally! Here is everything you need to know about how to get Avada Kedavra in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened.

Getting Avada Kedavra in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened

In Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, the Avada Kedavra spell is a long-range spell that fires a bolt of bright green energy across the targeted area. The first target hit in the target area takes heavy damage.

The only way of getting the Avada Kedavra spell is through the Studying system, which is basically this game’s version of gacha-style pulling. You use Silver or Golden Keys to receive a random assortment of spell cards.

There are two types of Studying: Basic Study and Advanced Study. Basic Study costs Silver Keys and has a chance to reward you with common, rare, or epic cards, while Advanced Study costs Golden Keys and rewards you with common, rare, epic, legendary, mythic, or dark cards.

There are two dark cards in the game right now, with one of them being Avada Kedavra. The exact probability of pulling Avada Kedavra from Advanced Studying is a whopping 0.147%, so grab your Golden Keys and pray that the random number generator has mercy on you.

Golden Keys are generally acquired by progressing through the main story and completing Daily Tasks. If you want a decent chance at getting the ultra-rare cards, it is imperative that you complete as many Daily Tasks as you can. Golden Keys can also be bought with Jewels, which in turn are bought with real money.

The bright side to this is that there is at least a pity mechanic to Studying. Once you have pulled from Advanced Studying 20 times, the next pull is guaranteed to be a legendary card or better. Of course, this does not guarantee that you will pull a dark card, but your odds are much better here compared to the normal rates.
