Terraria is filled to the brim and overflowing with crafting items. Sometimes, it’s hard to keep track of which item is used for what. But this very vastness of the game makes it interesting.
One such item is the Mechanical Eye that is used to summon the Twins. The Eye has to be crafted from several other items. Here’s a guide on how to get and use the Mechanical Eye in Terraria.
Terraria: How to Get the Mechanical Eye
The Mechanical Eye needs three items to be crafted – lens, the soul of light, and any kind of iron bar. To be precise, you need 3 lenses, 6 souls of lights, and 5 iron bars of any kind.
When you have all the needed items, head over to a Mythril Anvil or Orichalcum Anvil to the eye.
Using the Mechanical Eye
When you have the eye in your inventory, wait for nightfall. This is because the Mechanical Eye can summon the boss only at night between 7:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Trying to summon the Twins during the day is impossible.
Looking at the Twins, the Eye of Cthulhu feels like a telephone staring at the latest smartphone. The Twins are basically a more lethal version of the Eye of Cthulhu found in the hardmode.
You will have to destroy the Twins before the daybreak. If left alive, the boss flees and respawns later.
