On February 4, Dying Light 2: Stay Human was released. The long-awaited new game from Techland earned 78 points out of 100 on Metacritic, and some journalists called Dyne Light 2 one of the best open-world zombie games. However, after the release, many gamers encountered difficulties when launching the game and poor optimization. We decided to compile a list of all known solutions to technical problems.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human Won’t Launch Fix
If the game does not start for you, then use the advice from the developer:
- Go to the Steam Library;
- Right-click on Dyne Light 2 in the game list;
- Select Properties;
- Add /nolightfx to launch options.
If it doesn’t work, then follow the instructions:
- Close Steam;
- Open the Steam folder;
- Delete the steam.dll and ClientRegistry.blob files;
- Restart your PC.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human Stopped Launching
If the game stopped launching, then you may have installed conflicting programs. Check the latest downloads in the Add/Remove Programs menu, and open the Task Manager and close any running Dying Light 2: Stay Human processes.
Low FPS in Dying Light 2: Stay Human
Players believe that Denuvo, an anti-hacking technology, is to blame for FPS drawdowns. Only developers can disable Denuvo in DL 2, but for now, use the standard recommendations:
- Check system requirements;
- Update your video card driver;
- Adjust graphics and resolution settings;
- Clean up and restart your PC.
If it doesn’t help, then disable all kinds of programs that speed up games. The last option is a complete reinstallation of the operating system.
DirectX error in Dying Light 2: Stay Human
DirectX Runtime Error, DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG, DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED, or DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET error messages tell about outdated drivers. Update your graphics card drivers, disable G-Sync, and check the system files. Also, sometimes this problem can be caused by overheating of the video card.
