In Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster, you can get the stat-increasing Incenses in a couple of different ways, one way more reliable than the others. When purchasing items in Junk Shops, you will be rewarded with a Lucky Ticket, and getting 10 of them will make the shopkeeper offer you three different boxes that include items. The box you want to get is the White Box, as it will always include Incense items that can be used to improve stats without leveling up.

Incense items can also be obtained from Mystical Chests. These chests contain items that change depending on the Kagutsuchi phase, and a full phase allows you to get the best items from them, including Incense items. As the number of Mystical Chest in the game is limited, you really can’t farm them Incense items this way, but it’s still a decent way to get a few additional ones without spending tons of Macca to purchase items in Junk Shops.

Another random way of getting Incense items is by leveling up demons. Upon level up, they may offer you items, which include the stat-improving items. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell which item they can give you, so this is an extremely unreliable farming method.
