Like in the original game, Pins are extremely important in NEO: The World Ends With You, as equipping them lets Rindo, Fret, Nagi, and all the other playable characters unleash a variety of different Psych powers.
While many of the Pins available in the game can be obtained by defeating Noise or purchasing them in shops, a few of them can only be obtained by evolving certain Pins. Here’s how to do so as quickly as possible.
How to Evolve Pins in NEO: The World Ends With You
Pins in NEO: The World Ends With You can be leveled up by obtaining Pin Points, which, in turn, are obtained by fighting and defeating Noise. By chaining multiple Noise together, and winning all the fights, you will be able to get even more PP, making it much easier to level up Pins.
Certain Pins in NEO: The World Ends With You can evolve once certain conditions are met. The most common evolve condition is to simply level up the Pin to a certain level: once it does, you will be asked if you want to evolve the Pin in the Battle Results screen.
A few other Pins in the game, however, require an additional condition to be met to evolve. These special Pins can only evolve if a specific character equips and levels them up. To know which character has to equip these Pins to evolve them, you will have to learn the Evolutionary Secrets skill by unlocking the Marino Orinhara node in the Social Network. This node becomes available in the Week 3, Day 6 chapter.
Once the Evolutionary Secrets skill has been unlocked, all you need to know how to evolve any Pin is by checking out the Pin’s information in the Pins menu.
