The new Pokémon game is finally available for all Nintendo Switch owners. In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, as always, you have to explore the region. This time, players will find themselves in the Sinnoh from a century ago. And of course, you need to hunt various Pokemon, including Shiny Pokemon. In this guide, we will tell you how to encounter them.
How to Encounter Shiny Pokemon
True fans of the series know about Shiny Pokemon and are eager to catch them all. Although Shiny’s stats are the same as the regular versions, they are still a desirable target. This is because Shiny Pokemon are very rare, with a different color and a slight glow. The chance that you can meet a Shiny Pokemon is usually 1:4096.
To encounter Shiny Pokemon, the normal way would be to simply hunt the same Pokemon. However, this will take a very long time.

The spawn system in Pokemon Legends: Arceus works according to a certain principle. When you leave Jubilife Village, a certain spawn pattern of Pokémon is generated that will spawn in the same places if you defeat or capture them. If you return to Jubilife Village again, the pattern will randomly change. Therefore, you cannot return to the Village if you want to catch Shinies.
We recommend staying overnight at Camping more often. In this case, Pokemon will respawn in the same places. This way, it will be enough for you to come and look at the Pokémon spawn until you see Shinies.
You can also use the Mass Outbreaks feature, which allows you to hunt Pokémon more efficiently, but it will become available only after the story has been completed. And when you reach Rank 10 Research, you can get The Shiny Charm, which will increase your odds to 1:1365.
