How to Easily Beat Dragonlord Placidusax in Elden Ring – Boss Fight Guide

Like many other bosses in Elden Ring, Dragonlord Placidusax is a tough bastard that won’t go down easily. Unlike some of the most powerful bosses that are surprisingly defeated sooner than you think, that’s not the case with Dragonlord Placidusax.

So, once your fight against Dragonlord Placidusax is underway, you’ll have to follow certain steps to put the boss down for good. It’s easily the deadliest dragon in the game, and unfortunately, you won’t have a mount to use against it.

Also, you ought to stay close to the boss as best as you can and try to block the boss’ spin attack with close-range fire. The arena you take on Dragonlord Placidusax will constantly have lightning striking all angles, so it’ll be an advantage for you to have lightning resistance in this fight.

After getting through the first phase, the second phase will see the boss start to teleport and follow you up with a powerful attack that can kill you instantly. So do keep a watch for the mist and attempt to lock on. Also, keep an eye out for his massive claw attacks, and be sure to use bleeds for extra damage when you’re in close range.

Dragonlord Placidusax will often teleport in the fight, which can be quite annoying especially just when you’re about to attack, so be sure to plan your attacks and deal damage to the boss at the right times.

After you’ve defeated the Dragonlord, you’ll be rewarded with a Remembrance that you can trade to the Finger Reader at the Roundtable Hold and get yourself a new spell or weapon (Dragon King’s Cragblade).
