Tanks have been in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 for a while now and are proving to be pretty deadly! We have some useful hints and tips to help you survive if you come face-to-face with an enemy in a tank. Check them out below!
How to Disable a Tank in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2
Tanks, although pretty formidable, have their weak spots. Look out for the copper colored panels on the front and back of the tank. The front panel is its driver panel, and the back has two engine panels that, when destroyed, can cause the tank to overheat. When the tank overheats, it is disabled and cannot move.
The back panels are vulnerable when the tank is facing away from you, giving you a chance to shoot them out.
Shooting out the back panels can cause the tank to overheat quickly:
Shoot the tank enough and it will explode entirely, launching itself into the air!
Another way to disable a tank is to jump into the turret and shoot the tank itself until the health depletes, then jump from the tank before it explodes. This is a good tactic to use if one player has the tank and is distracted by another opponent. This gives you a chance to wreck the tank and get it out of the game! Just make sure you jump clear before you get caught in the explosion.
Taking out the tread of the tank is another way to make sure it cannot move. The opponent will have to get out and use a Repair Torch to fix them.
Another way to target and disable a tank is to use an Anvil Rocket Launcher. Aim and lock on to a tank and launch the rocket!
Good luck!
