One of the most annoying diseases to deal with in Ark Survival Evolved is Swamp Fever. Swamp Fever is caused by the Diseased Leech. Once you are affected by Swamp Fever, you are considered ‘contagious’ and will infect any players within your immediate vicinity.

How to Prevent Swamp Fever
Swamp Fever is a disease, and any disease can be prevented with some disease prevention precautions:
- Invest attribute points in Fortitude. This boosts your natural immunity to diseases by a small percentage. However, if you invest 90 Fortitude, you will be granted an 80% reduction in disease chance.
- Wear a Gas Mask. These Gas Masks will protect you from airborne contagions, which means that you will most definitely be protected from Swamp Fever.
How to Cure Swamp Fever
Swamp Fever can be cured by simply using the item Lesser Antidote. The Lesser Antidote can be crafted in a Mortar and Pestle or Chemistry Bench.
Below are the ingredients required to craft a Lesser Antidote:
- 10 Rare Flowers
- 10 Rare Mushrooms
- 3 Leech Blood or Woolly Rhino / Deathworm Horn
- 1 Narcotic
Remember that Swamp Fever gets cured automatically when you reach a new level with your character, so a Lesser Antidote would not be needed if you simply reach a new level.
