How to cure a Zombie Villager in Minecraft

Zombie villager

Zombies have the ability to infect Villagers and turn them into Zombie Villagers. The likelihood of this happening, however, depends on the game’s difficulty setting. In Hard mode, all villagers will inevitably become zombies, while on Normal difficulty, there’s a 50-50 chance of transformation. In Easy mode, instead of turning into zombies, Villagers will simply die.

To cure a Zombie Villager, you need a Golden Apple and a Splash Potion of Weakness. You can also use an arrow of Weakness instead of a Splash Potion of Weakness, but it is much easier to make a Splash Potion of Weakness. Here’s how you can get both of these items:

How to craft Golden Apple in Minecraft

Golden Apple

To craft a Golden Apple, you will need eight pieces of gold ingots and one apple. In a crafting table, place the apple in the middle and surround it with gold ingots, and you should have your Golden Apple. Instead of making a Golden Apple, you can find the item from loot chests in some structures as well.

How to brew a Splash Potion of Weakness

Splash Potion of Weakness

To brew a Splash Potion of Weakness, you will need the following:

  • A brewing stand
  • One blaze powder
  • One fermented spider eye
  • One water bottle
  • One gunpowder

Open the brewing stand and place the blaze powder in the fuel slot, the fermented spider eye in the top slot, and the water bottle in any bottle slot. Then, wait for the brewing process to complete. This will create a Potion of Weakness. Adding gunpowder to the top slot will turn your Potion of Weakness into a Splash Potion of Weakness.
