How to Craft the Pickaxe in Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream, like previous entries in the series, places great emphasis on item creation via Alchemy. As such, you will need to find a lot of alchemy ingredients, as the best items in the game can only be created by synthesizing them at your atelier.

To help you gather ingredients, the game provides a variety of tools, such as Pickaxe. Here’s how to craft it.

How to Craft the Pickaxe in Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream

At the start of the adventure in Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream, your item gathering capabilities will be quite limited, and there will be plenty of harvesting points that you will not be able to take advantage of, as you require the necessary tools, like the Pickaxe.

To craft the Pickaxe, you will first need to unlock its Alchemy recipe, which is done automatically as you make some progress in the main story. Once you do unlock the recipe, you will need two units of Lumber, one unit of Silvalia, and one Stone to craft the tool.

Just creating the Pickaxe via Alchemy, however, is not enough to use it, as you will also have to equip it. To do so, open the main menu, head into the Item section, and equip the Pickaxe in the Gather menu. Over time, you will be able to unlock improved versions of the Pickaxe, which will have to be created via Alchemy in the same way as the base version, but even if you do not create these enhanced tools, the regular Pickaxe will serve you well, allowing you to get all the ingredients you require for your Alchemy needs.
