Ruined King: A League of Legends Story features a lot of different optional sidequests that allow players to obtain some very nice rewards upon completion. There are some, however, that are not exactly optional, and must be completed to move the story forward.

This is the case of the Memory of Things Passed sidequest. Here’s how to complete it.

How to Complete the Memory of Things Passed Sidequest in Ruined King: A League of Legends Story

The Memory of Things Passed sidequest can be started by speaking with one of the imprisoned characters in the Anguish Cells. This area is first explored during the Into the Shadows main story quest.

Earlier during the Into the Shadows quest, you have obtained the Crimson Amulet, which allows you to remove weak wards. Thanks to the amulet, you can remove some of the cells’ wards, and thus become able to free some of the prisoners. The one in the third cell will talk with you before they can be released, and you can ask them for a reward for doing so. Always pick the dialogue options with the exclamation mark, and you will eventually get the Crystallized Memory.

With this item, you can power up the Crimson Amulet to dispel stronger wards. Head back to the rest point in the Lower Wards and speak with the character there to obtain the Empowered Crimson Amulet. With this item, you will be able to explore the location further and move the story forward.
