How to Complete the Holding the Line Sidequest in Shin Megami Tensei V

The Holding the Line sidequest can be started by talking with the Principality to the east of the Shinagawa Leyline fount. The precise area can be found on the map above.

In case you have accepted the Those Seeking Sanctuary sidequest already, you will also get the option of fighting the Principality when you interact with him. If you decide to talk with the demon with the previous quest active, you will fail the Those Seeking Sanctuary and start the Holding the Line quest.

To complete the Holding the Line sidequest, you have to get to where the Lilim demons are to the west of the Shinagawa Pier Leyline fount and interact with one of them to fight. Lilim demons are weak to Ice, so make sure to bring a demon that can use Bufu skills to take advantage of the weakness system. At the same time, avoiding bringing demons weak to Electricity, as Lilim can use Zionga and Mazionga.

Once Lilim has been defeated, report back to the Principality to complete the quest. You will get a Light Sutra and 4,000 EXP points for your trouble. Principality will also join your party.
