Players cannot change their names in Clash Royale until they reach King level 4. Once the player reaches King level 4, they will be able to change their username once for free. This means you only get one shot to change your in-game name, so choose wisely. Follow the steps below to change your name in Clash Royale:
- Open the in-game Settings
- Tap the “Change Name” button and follow the on-screen instructions.
The developers request players to not use special characters (like emojis) in their username because they won’t be displayed after in the altered name. If you have used up your change name option once, you can get further chances with Gems, the game’s in-game currency.
