How to Catch Salandit in Pokémon Go

This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information

Salandit, as well as its evolution, Salazzle, have finally made their debut in Pokemon GO. Salandit first appeared in Generation VII of the Pokemon mainline series games, in Pokemon Sun and Moon, and were already rare in those games. Pokemon GO has made it even tougher to get your hands on these fiery, venomous beasts of Pokemon.

Don’t let that fact dissuade you from trying though. Players have already gotten their hands on Salandit as well as Salazzle, and so can you! We are here to tell you exactly how to do that, so buckle up. Here’s how to get Salandit in Pokemon GO.

How to Get Salandit in Pokemon GO

Salandit has made its appearance through the All-Hands Rocket Retreat event going on currently in Pokemon GO. However, Salandit cannot be found anywhere in the wild or through raids. The only way to get a Salandit for yourself is hatching one from a 12km egg.

These eggs can be obtained by defeating one of the Team GO Rocket Leaders: Ario, Cliff, or Sierra. To get to fight these leaders, you will have to defeat six Team Rocket Grunts and then build a Rocket Radar to find the Team Rocket Leaders.

Additionally, The Rocket Leader fight will not be an easy one, so be prepared. You will receive a 12km egg once your beat a Leader, but here’s the tricky part: there are 10 potential Pokemon that can hatch from the egg, only one of them being Salandit, essentially giving you a 1 in 10 chance you what you want.

Additionally, if you want a Salazzle, you need to make sure the Salandit you get from the egg is female, since only female Salandit can evolve. To make sure all these conditions are achieved, you will probably have to fight the Team GO Rocket Leaders over and over for multiple eggs till you hatch what you exactly need.
