Among the more difficult to find Pokemon is the mythical Pokemon Manaphy, which can only be caught after completing a specific request. Here’s how to.

How to Catch Manaphy in Pokemon Legends Arceus

To catch Manaphy, a mythical water-type Pokemon, you will need to complete The Sea’s Legend request, which becomes available after reaching Coronet Highlands.

After accepting the request, you will be told about the legend of a prince, giving you very little guidance on what to do to complete it. The solution to this unique riddle can be found in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, as a book available in Canaleve makes a reference to three Pokemon related to the legend: Mantyke, Buizel and a Qwilfish with huge spikes.

So, to complete the The Sea’s Legend request, you will need to have these three Pokemon in your party. Mantyke can be found in Tranquility Cove in the Cobalt Highlands, Buizel in bodies of water in Horseshoe Plains and the Qwilfish with huge spikes, Overqwil, by making the Pokemon use Barb Barrage in Strong Style 20 times to evolve it into his new form.

Once you have all three Pokemon in your party, head to the Cobalt Coastland in the location marked on the map in the evening. Here, ride on Basculegion to go through the two rocks, and then continue on to enter Seaside Hollow where you will have to fight Manaphy alongside three Phiones. You only get one chance to catch the mythical water-type Pokemon, so make sure to save your game before attempting to do it.
