How to Catch Comfey in Pokémon GO

A new Season is starting in Pokémon GO, and with it marks the arrival of more Pokemon first found in the sunny region of Alola. Even though many of the Pokémon making their debuts during the Season of Alola will be appearing in the wild, others will be appearing in raids, as well as reward encounters for completing themed Field Research tasks.

Not only are there a whole bunch of new Alolan Pokemon being introduced into the world of Pokemon GO, a lot of them get increased encounter rates as well. Given the fact that these Pokemon can be encountered as shinies as well, this makes it so that you are much more likely to have shiny encounters!

Among the various Pokemon that have been released with the Welcome to Alola event comes Comfey, the pure Fairy type Pokemon, which players have been clamoring to find capture for themselves.

How to Catch Comfey in Pokémon GO

While it is true that Comfey has been released in Pokemon GO and can be found freely in the wild, there is one catch: Comfey is region-locked to Hawaii in Pokemon GO. Only players who play the game while in Hawaii can locate and capture Comfey.

Do not lose all hope though; Niantic has always lifted region-locks for highly popular Pokemon in the past quite liberally. All you will need to do is be a little patient and wait till Niantic decides to do that.

Or, you can always trade with a friend who has a Comfey—maybe someone who lives in Hawaii and can get their hands on one. Where there is a will, there’s a Comfey!
