How to Catch Azelf
Azelf is a cute Psychic-type Pokémon that is one of the three Lake Guardians. To catch this trio, you will need to complete the events of Mt. Coronet.
But before you go to him, you need to prepare. Since Azelf uses Psychic attacks, we recommend choosing Bug, Steel, and Dark-type Pokemon for battle. Then, in the north-south of Celestic Town, find a house where you can purchase Poké Balls. You need approximately 20-30 Dusks Balls. Lastly, you should have a small supply of Lemonades and Potions to heal your Pokémon if needed.
Now you can head to Valor Lakefront to catch the coveted Azelf. Go west until you get to Lake Valor. When you get to the lake, you need to use HM Surf to get to the center of the lake, where the cave will be.

The cave is called Valor Cavern, and when you enter it, in the very center you will find Azelf. To defeat him, you will need to lower his health as quickly as possible and then use Paralysis or Sleep. After that, you can catch him.
