How to Build Magma Forge in Dwarf Fortress

Before you start to build your first Magma Forge, you will need to find a source of magma. Usually, they can be found underground. After that, you will need to make a special structure. Magma Forge requires you to use magma-safe materials and an anvil.

In order to build a Magma Forge, you will need to create a 9×9 platform with two holes filled with magma. You can see an example of such a structure in the image above this paragraph. The magma is delivered via the special tunnels dug below the platform. Their level of magma depth should be at least 4/7.

We recommend you be careful with such a structure and build at least a couple of magma-safe doors that could be controlled remotely.
