Tips for Beating the Tower of Fortune in Angry Birds 2

The Tower of Fortune unlocks a little bit into the beginning area of Angry Birds 2. As we mentioned, the Tower of Fortune stays true to its name, as it’s a place where you can enter with nothing and walk out with tons of goodies, provided you have the luck.

Here’s how it works: The Tower of Fortune is a mode that costs 60 gems to play, but you also get one free play every day. You start on the first floor, and your goal is to go as far as you can while maintaining rewards. The Tower of Fortune does eventually end at floor 60, but it’s very rare to get that far.

On every floor of the Tower of Fortune, you are presented with four cards, and you pick one. Three of the cards contain a random assortment of goodies, including gems, feathers, black pearls, and hats, among others. However, one of the cards contains a Bad Piggy, and if you have the misfortune of pulling this card, you must sacrifice all the rewards you’ve gotten so far or cough up the gems to hang onto them and keep going.

The Tower will constantly tempt you to keep moving forward by promising more riches the higher you go, but knowing when to quit is the key to victory here, especially considering the amount of gems needed to continue increases every time you do it. If you’re a strictly free player, you should ignore the lofty goal of reaching the end and just focus on getting out with as many rewards as possible.

The most important thing to remember here is that the floor on which you draw a Bad Piggy card is predetermined randomly before you even start. If you look up guides about the Tower of Fortune, you may hear people say things like the Bad Piggy card is always in the same place after a set amount of cards, or if you pick a certain card you’ll always be safe.

Unfortunately, there is no rhyme or reason as to when you pull the Bad Piggy card, but it’s effectively guaranteed, so there’s pretty much no way to reach the end of Tower of Fortune without paying gems to keep moving forward.

The most important tip for the Tower of Fortune is to just go with your gut. Keep advancing through the tower until you feel satisfied with your rewards, then escape before it’s too late. Resist the tower’s urging to continue for better rewards and just be happy with what you got.

At the very least, you should try to break even with the amount of gems you use. For example, if you use your daily play, hit a Bad Piggy card, but then continue using gems and end up winning more gems in the long haul, then that’s a fruitful run. It’s safe to call it quits at any point once you’ve broken even.
