Overwatch 2 was one of the most anticipated games of the year and after its release, developers Blizzard Entertainment shut down the Overwatch 1 servers for good as the new instalment brought new content and as expected, new heroes as well.
There are also new maps and battle passes as well, which means players will be getting lots of cosmetics. Mei-Ling Zhou is one of the most popular characters in Overwatch 2 and as a Chinese climatologist in the game, she takes on the DPS role. But a lot of players have wondered how old is Mei in Overwatch 2? Let’s answer that.
How Old is Mei in Overwatch 2? Answered
Heroes are factors that alter the gameplay in Overwatch 2 for better or worse, depending on the character you’re playing with. Mei-Ling Zhou on the other hand is quite the adventurer in Overwatch 2.
And according to the game’s lore, Mei was at Watchpoint: Antarctica doing her climate research when a powerful polar storm happened. This forced Mei to incubate herself in cryo-stasis, remaining frozen like Captain America or Avatar Aang until whenever a rescue team discovers and rescues her, which didn’t happen anytime soon.
She got out of the Cryo-stasis after nine years and didn’t age a day with anything except a robot named Snowball and ruined comms. So these are some of the reasons why there’s no accurate information on her age other than speculations.
So if we’re to speculate on Mei-Ling Zhou’s age in Overwatch 2, she is currently 40 years old. And if we’re leaving out the years she’s spent being frozen in cryo-stasis for nine years, then Mei would be 31 years old.
A lot of players have their own speculations on her age as well but from the little backstory of hers we’ve told, hopefully you’ve been able to understand how old Mei is in Overwatch 2.
