Much like other large mobile games with expansive worlds, Honkai Star Rail has a moderately-sized initial download just to give you a preview of the game.
You can play through Honkai Star Rail’s prologue without having to download any additional data, but you will eventually have to download the complete resource pack if you want to keep playing, which is quite a substantial download.
