The workshop opens at Town Hall level 12. The workshop is for the creation of Siege Engines – observable troops for moving reinforcements from the Clan Castle. Siege Engines require Gold to craft, but Elixir to upgrade. The Workshop cannot create Siege Engines during development. It follows that upgrading the Workshop temporarily disables the ability to create Siege Engines. They can be trained after completion.

You can increase production by using a Crystal. Haste costs 30 Crystal and quadruples your speed. The Workshop, like the Spell Factory, contains the created army within itself, unlike the Barracks, which contains troops in Military Camps. However, only one siege engine can be used in battle, even if there are several in the Workshop (or you have donated a siege engine in the clan). Destroying the Workshop while attacking you will not damage the Siege Engines protected inside. Also, this will not affect the creation of Siege Engines in any way. Siege engines can be donated by players with Clan Castle level 6 or higher.

The cost and construction time depend on the level.

• Construction time: 6 days.
• Second level: 9,000,000 elixir.
• Construction time: 8 days.
• Third level: 10,500,000 elixir.
• Construction time: 10 days.
• Fourth level: 20,000,000.
