There are many game modes in Genshin Impact, both for battles and simply for obtaining in-game items that will later help in battles. One of these modes is Fishing. In this mode, you can already catch quite a lot of different fish, and today we will talk about one of them, namely the Koi fish.

As we said, the fishing mode has been in the game for a long time and already has an impressive number of different fish. But not so long ago, the weapon “The Catch” was added to the game, and it is to get this weapon that you need to catch Koi fish.

In total, there are 2 varieties of these fish in the game, namely Rusty Koi and Golden Koi. Outwardly, they are the same and differ only in color, but they have a common feature, two small horns on their heads standing one behind the other. Golden Koi has pink eyes and orange-red fins. Rusty Koi has blue eyes and bluish fins.

Although they are slightly different, they require the same lure to catch them, namely Fake Fly Bait. To create 10 pieces of this bait you will need 1 Sakura Bloom and 1 Horsetail, which are quite easy to obtain.

It is also worth noting that these fish do not live everywhere and they have several spawn locations.

Locations where you can catch Koi:

  • Inazuma: Koseki Village.
  • Liyue: Wangshu Inn, Guili Plains, Luhua Pool.
  • In addition, Golden Koi can be caught at the Mondstadt (Stormbearer Mountains) location, and Rusty Koi can be caught at the Mondstadt (Cider Lake) location.
