Clash of Clans added the Clan War Leagues feature, allowing groups of 8 clans to battle against each other to advance through the leagues and win rewards. You also win League Medals, which are initially given out to you after reading the Clan War Leagues tutorial by the Villager (50 League Medals) or based on which league your Clan is playing in, and what is your Clan’s placement within the Group at the end of the Season. But how do League Medals work and what’s the use of these in Clash of Clans?

How do League Medals work in Clash of Clans?
League Medals are a kind of reward that can be obtained:
- depending on the Clan’s league placement and number of stars scored against opponents in the League
- by being awarded a bonus by the Clan leader
You can redeem your hard-earned League Medals in a special section of the Home Village shop, and they can be used to purchase different items such as gold, elixir, potions, wall ring, and more. Each item will cost you a set amount of League Medals, and players can have a maximum of 2,500 League Medals at a time.
If you get any more, the excess League Medals will be converted into Gems and one Gem will be given for every 10 medals in excess. So it’s advised to use the League Medals on items rather than stacking them.
