In other words, players will no longer be able to play PUBG Mobile on a different server from Season 16 and the region will be locked as per the user’s location. However, it’s still possible to change the PUBG Mobile server as the company has moved the Switch Server function to the System Settings menu. Here’s how.

How to change server in PUBG Mobile after Season 16 update

  1. Open PUBG Mobile and login to your account.
  2. Navigate to the Settings.
  3. Scroll down and locate the Select Server option in the Basic tab.
  4. Tap the Change option and select the server/region you want to choose.
  5. Hit the OK button and reboot the game.

Note: After changing the server, the region will be locked and you can’t change it again for the next 60 days (2 months).

As per the official patch notes, this new system has been implemented to ensure less network lag and a better gaming environment. Meanwhile, if you team up with a player from a different region, the game will allocate the best server to play on.

    • As mentioned above, you can revert to the Asia server once 60 days are over. But there is another way to change the server without waiting for 60 days. Follow these steps:
1.) Create a room (Buy a room card if you don’t have one).
2.) Choose the warehouse map and set the server to Asia.
3.) Invite some friends and start the match.
4.) Once you are done. Go back to the main menu.
5.) There you can see you are back to the Asia server.

This is one of the easiest ways to bypass the 60-day lock. Good Luck!

  1. I have been stuck at ace for weeks I can’t do this anymore I really want to go back to North America am stuck in Asia! It’s frustrating I do understand the system but accidents happen and what should we do in case of this ( delete the game?) because it is point less playing on a sever you’re in not by chance especially when all you wanted to do was rank up ⬆️ please look into this system season 17 coming I will be gold 2 an in Asia when I could be platinum 2 in North America an push ace again sigh
