As you pull more and more cards via Magical Studies (the game’s gacha system that uses Silver and Golden Keys), you will notice that you can upgrade your cards when you get duplicates and, simultaneously, upgrade the Spellbook itself. However, many players get confused and wonder whether getting a higher Spellbook level does anything meaningful in the game. For that reason, in this guide, we explain the Harry Potter: Magic Awakened Spellbook level and the benefits you get from upgrading it.

You can raise the level of your Spellbook in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened by upgrading your cards. When you tap on each card that you own, you can see how many duplicates you need to pull and how much Gold you need to get that card to the next level. By upgrading enough cards, you raise the level of your whole Spellbook.

For faster card and Spellbook upgrading, you can open your Spellbook by tapping on the icon in the bottom right corner, then tapping the upward-pointing arrow symbol below your current card deck. Here, you can see all the cards that you can upgrade, the final cost, and the Spellbook level you will get to if you proceed. Players can always deselect certain cards they don’t use and upgrade only those they rotate often, especially if they don’t have enough resources to upgrade them all.

What does a higher Spellbook level mean in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened?

A higher Spellbook level in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened means better stats for your main character, namely Health, Attack, and Exploration Attributes (bonuses like Health, Attack, Spell Damage, Summon Health, and Summon Damage during exploration but not in the Dueling Club).

Therefore, as you level up your Spellbook by upgrading cards, you become more powerful in duels and during exploration. For that reason, we could argue that increasing the level of your Spellbook is one of the biggest priorities in the game and definitely worth spending all that Gold.

Besides impacting your stats, the Spellbook level also determines how much you can explore in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened. For example, you can’t access some areas of the Forbidden Forest before you level up accordingly. Each stage informs you about the Spellbook level requirements, so make sure to upgrade enough cards whenever you have enough resources so that you can continue to explore freely.

We hope that it’s more clear now how important upgrading your Spellbook is in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened. If you need more assistance with this game, you can always find more guides in our dedicated Harry Potter: Magic Awakened section!
