What Does the Charm Lumos Provide in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery?
The Lumos Charm—also commonly known as the Wand-Lighting Charm—is the very first spell taught to you in year one chapter two of Hogwarts Mystery. The Charm is taught to you by Professor Flitwick, and is the easiest and most resourceful spell you will learn.
When you attend the class, Professor Flitwick will begin by giving you some information about it and asking you a question afterwards. You will then proceed to practice casting the spell as shown by Professor Flitwick. You need to move the wand in the correct manner, after which your wand will start to light up.
Lumos is a Charm primarily used to light up any dark areas that you come across and explore in the world; brightening up pitch-black rooms, revealing hidden pathways, or just to assist you in reading in the dark.
Lumos also has the secondary benefit of being able to shoot out a powerful beam of light that pushes away various kinds of shadowy creatures—very nifty for staying out of danger.
