Go for the bomb ghosts!

Sometimes you’ll be ambushed by a large group of ghosts! Thankfully though, sometimes you’ll see a peculiar ghost in the middle of them. These are bomb ghosts and you can tell them apart from the flame on top of their head.

Taking these ghosts out with your flashlight will cause them to detonate, popping any other ghosts are nearby. In certain instances, they’ll wipe out the whole screen!

Bomb ghosts can make your life a lot easier, so be sure to keep a look out for them and prioritize them above any other ghosts.

Be careful with your swipes!

Because of the game’s control scheme, it can be a little easy to lose control of your flashlight. When you’re aiming your flashlight, be sure not to swipe too much – your flashlight will end up behind you and your controls will feel all weird. Let go of the screen and tap in the center to recalibrate it.

Pop ghosts with power ups!

Something you should know about the power ups is that you have infinite battery life on your flashlight while the power up is active. This means that you can pop away without worrying about your battery.

Keep your finger held down for maximum ghost popping! This is especially important if you have the coin frenzy power up active which increases the amount of coins ghosts drop!

Keep upgrading!

The four different upgrades you can get for your flashlight are all pretty helpful, so don’t think about picking which one too much. In fact, we recommend just upgrading anything because every time you do, your automatic gold generation increases.

That’s right – when you’re not playing the game, it’ll generate gold for you every minute. The more upgrades you have for your flashlight, the more gold you’ll get. So, just start upgrading and watch the gold roll in!

Get in the habit of recharging your battery!

The number one killer in Ghost Pop is running out of battery at the worst possible moment! Try to get into the habit of letting go of your flashlight when ghosts aren’t in range, as it’ll help you start recharging often.

Remember: NEVER let your flashlight run completely dry. It’s better to use it until it’s about to run out of juice then let go. If your battery is totally out, you’ll have to wait a couple of seconds for your battery to recharge fully. This is pretty much a death sentence if you’re far enough in your run, so don’t let it happen!
