Welcome to the world of Gate of Mobius, an exciting new third-person shooter designed for mobile platforms. Enjoy the anime fantasy world and run, jump, and shoot your way through open environments blasting ethereal monsters. Gate of Mobius is a fast-paced shooter game, and we’re here to help with some helpful hints in our Gate of Mobius tips, cheats, and strategies guide!
Stay on the Move
Gate of Mobius plays like a unique fusion of old arcade shoot’em’ups and third-person shooters. Early on the game will throw a few enemies that can cover the battlefield with bullets, and it’s hard to dodge all of them. The golden rule is to never stay still – staying on the move will help you get out of harm’s way.
Don’t forget that you can jump and dash around to make evasion easier. The jump can save you most of the time, but for enemies that rush you and try to close the distance, the dash can give you some nice breathing room. You won’t encounter aggressive enemies early on in the game, but later on the dash will become your best friend.
If you’re having trouble staying on target while moving and shooting at the same time, be sure to take advantage of the lock-on. It helps greatly in a fast-paced game like this.
Unleash your Skills
Don’t be afraid to use your skills often! You charge up MP very fast whenever you attack enemies and since your maximum MP is somewhat low, you’ll be sitting on unused skills if you hold back too much. Additionally, sometimes enemies will leave behind blue orbs that will refill a good chunk of your MP.
This doesn’t mean you should just let them rip as soon as you’re off cooldown, but rather learn each skill and choose your favorites. All of the skills have different attack patterns and strengths, and it’s up to you to figure out which ones you like the most. For example, Golden Egg drops a giant egg on a targeted enemy and hurts all nearby enemies, while Frozen Flower freezes all enemies around you.

Search for Chests
Be sure to take your time through the stages. The game usually gives you more than enough time to reach the end of the stage with minutes to spare, but more importantly there are plenty of treasure chests for you to collect.
Some chests are sitting in plain sight, but others are devilishly hidden. These chests contain helpful goodies like elemental runes for upgrading, coins, and even equipment. Some stages even have challenges that ask you to find all the chests in the stage. Don’t rush through and make sure to check every nook and cranny for hidden chests!
You can use the materials you earn in the stages to upgrade your gear, if you have any. The most important thing to upgrade is your weapon, as the faster you can take down enemies the easier you can get through stages, which in turn makes farming easier.
We got through chapter 1 – which incidentally is the only story chapter available right now – with little to no problems with a few upgrades on the main character’s starting weapon. You’ll probably find new weapons and armor as you progress through the stages, but one important thing to remember is that gear has level requirements, and it’s not talking about your player level. When a piece of gear has a level requirement, it means your character’s level, which can only be seen if you go into their upgrade grid.
Every time you unlock a new node on a character’s upgrade grid, they’ll gain one level. Unlocking nodes requires mementos and runes, both of which you can get from clearing stages. If you’re looking for specific runes or materials, be sure to check the item drop list on each stage, and don’t forget about the event stages as well – those usually drop a certain material.
How to get more Phantasy Crystals
Phantasy crystals are the premium currency of Gate of Mobius. You’ll need them to perform legend summons, which is the only way to get high rarity skills. You also get costumes from it, but that’s not nearly as important, unless you’re a fashionista!
There are a few ways to get more phantasy crystals without having to pay real world money. The first method is to complete quests from the quest board, accessed from the main menu. The first category of quests are dailies, and as the name implies they reset every day. Try to do these first to get a good amount of phantasy crystals. The second category are general quests that have no time limit so you can do them whenever you want. Be sure to check in every now and then to claim your rewards.
The second method is to complete the three optional challenges on each stage. Before you go into a stage make sure to check out the challenges and keep them in mind as you go through the stage. Each challenge is worth 20 phantasy crystals, and you get an extra 30 if you complete all of them, which means you can get 90 phantasy crystals from each stage!
Don’t worry if you can’t complete it on your first run through, as someone will require you to play the stage as a specific character or something like that. You can always come back later.
