You will need to provide an economy, food, and a safe place to live. Our Galactic Colonies cheats and tips will show you how to colonize all the planets!

Your colonists need you, so let’s get right to the action with our Galactic Colonies cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide to colonize all planets!

Build all the necessities!

To keep your colony thriving and happy, you will need to make sure everything is adequately supplied. Keep an eye on your colonists, and make sure your food supplies are steady and not in danger of running low.

Build more Hydroponics Farms if you need to, because colonists will leave the colony if your food is too low! And if you need to expand on colonists, just keep building more Living Quarters!

Keep in mind proximity bonuses when building!

Certain structures will benefit from being next to certain spots. For example, if you build a farm next to a natural lake on a planet, that afrm will gain a food production boost!

This affects all of the adjacent farms, so you can bring in lots of food if you are smart with your placing. There are more bonuses like this, so keep them in mind when you are building your city.

Also remember that there are negative affecting cases as well. As one example, if you build a Living Quarters next to any industrial type structure that is not a Hydroponics Farm, the maximum colonist cap will be reduced for that building. No one likes living next to a polluted building!

Always be researching something!

Like the good captain says, your Research Station will do you no good if the scientists are sleeping on the job! Make sure to visit every now and then and check up on your research and see its progress.

Research Projects can permanently increase the amount of resources gain, decrease the cost of certain structures, and so forth. If you want to keep progressing through the galaxy, you will need to research a lot!

Save your Cash Boxes and Upgrade Kits!

Cash Boxes can be used to generate money on the fly, and they can save you if you are in a pinch. Just keep in mind that Cash Boxes are relatively rare so you need to choose wisely when you are going to use them.

The same goes for Upgrade Kits – while the game does tell you that upgrading old buildings is better than building new ones, you will run out of Upgrade Kits quickly if you do this every level.

You can usually get by with basic structures, so only upgrade when you know you are going to be in a level for the long run.

Watch your workers!

Have you ever had an industrial building just suddenly stop working, even though you have it properly connected? You may be experiencing a shortage of workers.

Remember that each Living Quarters can only hold a certain amount of colonists, and they are split among your different industrial buildings. If you have too many facilities, you will split your workers too thin and nothing will get done.

It is best to build more Living Quarters and invite more colonists to come live in your colony, that way you can provide jobs for everyone!
