Back your opponents into the corner!

The computer controlled opponents in this game like to play a little defensively. What we mean is that they’re always try to keep their distance with you. If you try to inch closer to them, they’ll start backing away to keep a safe throwing gap between you two. As you can probably imagine, you can use this to your advantage!

It doesn’t look like it, but each arena actually has corners where the arena ends. If you can manage to back your opponent all the way into the corner, they’ll have very little space to maneuver making them an easy target!

What’s even better is that some arenas actually have pitfalls in them. If a fighter falls into one of these, they’ll take massive damage – it’s a great way to finish off an opponent who is about to bite the dust.

Use those random items and traps!

Every so often an item will spawn somewhere on the arena. These traps can be extremely deadly if used right! An example trap is a barrel of dynamite. As soon as it spawns, the fuse on it will light and the barrel will explode after a couple of seconds.

You can actually knock the barrel towards your opponent by fling stuff at it. If it goes off when your opponent is near it, say goodnight to them! There are other traps like mines and stuff, so be sure to use them against your opponent while avoiding them yourself!

Knock the goodies out of your opponents!

You may have noticed that whenever you fling something at your opponent and they get hit, goodies will come flying out of them. These goodies include character experience, coins, and more! They don’t stay around forever, so try to grab them as soon as you see them.

Master the Jump Shot!

An advanced technique that is worth learning and mastering are jump shots. Jump shots are, as you can probably guess, performed by flinging while mid-air. There are a couple things you should know about jump shots.

First is that your jump trajectory is locked the moment you hit the jump button. You can’t direct your fighter once they’re airborne, so don’t just jump around like a hyperactive rabbit – try to jump according to how your opponent is moving so you can line up a shot. Jumping randomly is just going to get you hit a lot!

Secondly, your shot trajectory continues to move even while you’re airborne. This is the most important thing to keep in mind because to pull off some crazy shots you also need to take into account what your current trajectory is.

Collect your free chests!

Be sure to collect your free chests! You can get them from the daily log in bonuses, and you’re also given one every eight hours. Chests are the main ways to earn experience and fragments for your fighters, which helps you power them up and increase their stats. More chests means better fighters, so don’t miss out on the freebies!
