1. Use Auto mode!

When you’re on the field with an appropriate vehicle and tool, you will see the auto button pop up on the left side. Be sure to turn on your tool, such as the seeder or plower, then hit the auto button. The game will take control of your vehicle and will go through the field doing its necessary job. While it’s not 100% accurate, it’s much better than trying to maneuver the field yourself using the finicky controls!

2. Frequently check the mini map!

The mini map contains all sorts of useful location information. Even better, if you have a current objective, there will be a red line that shows you where you need to go. If you tap on the mini map, the full map will extended outward. This shows you a complete layout of your farmland. It’s useful if you lose track of certain tools; each one has a unique colored dot. Refer to the pause menu to see which dots mean what.

3. Keep your vehicles fueled!

This goes for your tractors and combines. Watch the fuel gauge at the bottom, and be sure to visit a gas station to refuel. If you end up stranded somewhere without any fuel, you will have to pay a fee to be rescued. The fee is usually much more expensive than refueling, so keep an eye on your fuel!

4. Check the status of your farm plots!

If you expand the full map, you can check the status of your farm plots. If it’s brown, the plot needs to be plowed. If it’s dark brown, it can be seeded! If it’s dark green, there are crops currently growing. If it’s a very light brown, it’s ready to be harvested! Once you start unlocking multiple farm plots this is very handy when it comes to keeping track of them!

5. Buy some animals for generated income!

Animals require a lot less effort to maintain then farmland since they produce products on their own, but in turn they don’t sell for as much. Even so, you should invest in a couple of animals starting out as they’ll help you generate some additional money. Cows are the most expensive at $500, and their milk sells at $10 a piece. Sheep are the second most expensive clocking in at $350, and their cheese sells for $12. Chickens are the least expensive at $15, but their eggs only sells for $1. All products are generated at an even rate, so it’s up to you how many animals you want to buy.
