Escape a Hostile Shadow World in Microbian, a Dark Platformer for iOS

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

The shadow world is not a peaceful place. Creatures of the night, unimaginable horrors, and otherworldly beings reign supreme, and they are all out to get our lone spider hero. As a arachnid microbe, you must escape this deadly shadow world in Microbian.

Microbian is an all-new indie platform runner that shares a similar presentation to Playdead’s Inside and Limbo. Featuring an all grayscale color scheme, the world of Microbian is presented in a bleak manner. And rightfully so – everything here is trying to kill you!

Our spider hero will automatically run forward, and you are in charge of jumping. Players will need to be on their toes as new monsters will seemingly come out of nowhere, and each one requires nimble reflexes to dodge.

But it is not just the monsters you have to worry about, but the world itself as well. The shadow world is constantly changing, and you will need to adapt accordingly. Run on the ceiling, cling onto ropes, and utilize the terrain to keep on going.

Death is right behind you, but keep on running and you might just make it out alive. Microbian is available now as an initially free download on the App Store. You can purchase the full game through an in-app purchase.
