The Nintendo Switch console is becoming more and more the console to get for fans of role-playing games, with many excellent titles having been released in the first few months of the year, and more set to hit the console throughout 2022 and beyond.

One of the new JRPGs that has hit the console in early 2022 is Edge of Eternity, a game that has been in development for quite some time and has only recently managed to launch on all consoles.

Given how long some JRPGs are, knowing how long it takes to beat one is extremely important to avoid spending money on a game that may be either too short or too long for one’s tastes. Here’s how long it will take to beat Edge of Eternity.

Edge of Eternity: How Long to Beat

Edge of Eternity isn’t a particularly long role-playing game, but if you’re looking to see everything it has to offer, you will spend quite a few hours with it.

The RPG developed by Midgar Studio requires around 30 hours to beat with little to no side content completed. Engaging in side missions will bump up the total playtime to the 40, 50 hours range, while a completionist playthrough, with every secret collected and every sidequest completed, will require around 70 hours.

As one of the Edge of Eternity’s best features is its world, blazing through the game is not really recommended. Take your time, explore around, and you are sure to have a bloody good time!
