Pokemon Legends Arceus spices up the classic Pokemon formula with plenty of new features that wouldn’t look amiss in a proper open-world game.
With Pokemon now roaming the open fields freely, it is possible to use sounds to pinpoint their locations and prepare strategies to catch them off-guard without even being able to see them.
This is where the Dynamic Range settings come into play. Here’s everything you need to know about them.
Dynamic Range Setting in Pokemon Legends Arceus Explained

The Dynamic Range settings in Pokemon Legends Arceus are found right at the bottom of the Settings Menu. They determine the ratio between the loudest and the quietest sounds to make it easier to hear them, so it is quite important to pick the proper setting to have an enjoyable time in the game.
The two available settings are Narrow and Wide. Narrow makes the quietest sounds more audible, which is great for accessibility, but not that good for optimal play, as it makes it harder to pinpoint their source most of the time.
The Wide setting is the recommended setting for most Pokemon Legends Arceus players, as it widens the ratio between the loudest and quietest sounds, so you will know for certain that loud noises come from close to your position, while quiet ones from afar. This may take a little time to get used to, especially if you never played open-world games, but once you get used to the system, Wide will always be your option of choice.
