Dungeon Keeper Game for iOS Announced

This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

Oh, the joy! Mythic and Electronic Arts have announced that they’re working for an iPhone and iPad version of Dungeon Keeper. We’re not talking about a remake though, but a brand new Dungeon Keeper game, a free to play one with some interesting concepts.

The core mechanics will be similar to those of the original game: you will have to build your own dungeon, fill them with traps and tunnels and minions that are ready to destroy (or at least try to do it) everyone who decided to enter.

The fun part will be that those who decide to enter will be other players. Yes, you have the option to attack other dungeons in your quest to become the dungeon master of the world. Mixing original strategy mechanics with tower defense and offering them all in a free to play model… now that’s something that has to be done right or else gamers will get pretty pissed off.

The game is expected to be released sometime during the winter, when minion training works best.
