Things start getting very serious in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot following the defeat of Raditz. While Goku is away to get stronger, it is up to Gohan, Piccolo, and their friends to stop the invading Saiyans. And before Goku can get back, it will be up to them to stop the powerful Nappa.
Here’s everything you need to know to take him down with ease.
How to Defeat Nappa in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Nappa is fought multiple times in Episode 5 and Episode 6 of the Saiyan Saga, and you will have to fight him using both Gohan and Goku. The boss, however, always fights in the same way, so you can use the same general strategies in all the fights against him.
Among the special attacks that Nappa uses the most often are Arm Break and Sonic Storm, so knowing how to deal with them is extremely important. The first one is a charging attack, while the second is a powerful kick from above. Both can be dodged to the side with the proper timing.
One ability that you should avoid at all times is Giant Storm, a powerful area attack that deals tons of damage. Nappa lays down a circle of energy before the attack goes off, so use this to your advantage to get away from the circle as quickly as you can.
After Nappa unleashes his attacks, there will be a small window of opportunity you can use to go on the offensive. There will also be some times when Nappa will stop completely for a few seconds as well, another window of opportunity you should take advantage of, especially with ranged attacks. Keep at it, defend accordingly and Nappa will soon be defeated, leaving Vegeta as the only Saiyan to take down to save the planet.
