Dead By Daylight is an ever-growing asymmetrical horror game from Behaviour Interactive. The popular multiplayer was originally inspired by cult classic slasher movies with players acting as either the Killer or one of four Survivors. The Killer’s objective is to sacrifice each of the four Survivors to The Entity, while Survivors must complete their objective to repair generators, unlock the gates, and escape. Killers must hook each Survivor twice before they can kill them either by hook or by hand, sacrificing them to The Entity.
Survivors must save their teammates from the hook before they die. The first time they are hooked they just hang there, but on the second hook they reach the ‘struggle’ stage, where Survivors must complete skill checks. Teamwork is an important part of playing as Survivor and it is best to save and heal others, and help each other to complete the objectives together more quickly.

Is Split Screen Available in Dead By Daylight?
Despite being a multiplayer game, there is no split screen option available for players. One reason for this is that it would not work if one player was Killer and the other was playing Survivor, as the game is essentially a game of hide and seek. Secondly, players would have a limited view and possibly be at a disadvantage.
The only advantage to split screen would be increased knowledge of where the other Survivor is and what they are doing, but this can be achieved by using voice chat via apps such as Discord, and having good communication.

Killers already gripe about ‘SWFs’ (players who Survive With Friends) who are on comms, and can communicate about the whereabouts of the Killer, generators, totems, and more. The addition of split screen would probably add to this more unfair side of the game.
