Dinosaur Rampage is a fresh new mobile game that puts you in charge of a dinosaur that’s wreaking havoc in a city, eating people, destroying buildings and other dinosaurs. Fast paced fun that doesn’t usually require a lot of strategy, but for those who want to take their game to the next level, we’re here to help.
Today, we are sharing with you some Dinosaur Rampage cheats and tips in our complete strategy guide for the game: learn how to always rank at the top position, how to get rid of the annoying ads if you want to and much, much more.
So let’s not waste a single second and instead let’s check out some Dinosaur Rampage tips and tricks below!
1. Try to constantly consume the largest things you can
Larger things give you more experience, helping you get larger faster. Therefore, you should always aim to consume the largest things that you can and never waste your time with smaller things.
The only times when it’s acceptable to consume small things is when there are no larger items nearby: eating something is better than walking down half of the map to find something more size-appropriate.
An important tip for early on, when starting: if you are close to an edge of the map, simply head in that direction: the people running away will get stuck there and you can easily eat a ton of them in a short amount of time.
2. Buildings are your friends when it comes to quickly growing in size
A good place to focus on once your dinosaur gets to level 3 or so is the residential area. There are more of them, actually, and you can rapidly destroy small houses our buildings, quickly growing in size from eating the residents there.
Don’t aim for the largest buildings when you are still small: it will take you too long to break them and you will run behind other dinosaurs.
But as soon as you grow in size, follow advice #1 and move towards larger buildings.
3. Start hunting other dinosaurs!
Buildings, cars and people are a great way to grow in size, but it’s even better when you start consuming the other dinosaurs around the city.
I don’t personally recommend going on a hunt for them – just play your game, roam around the map and grow constantly, but as soon as you see one or more dinosaurs nearby, go and eat them.
They are usually easy to catch (they are controlled by the AI, not other human players) and they give you a massive boost in size.
Plus, eliminating the dinosaurs reduces competition for you, so you have even more things to eat. Win-win.
4. Don’t miss the large chunks of meat or glowing people
There are two special items that you should get as soon as you see them on the screen: large chunks of meat (or glowing chunks that seem like asteroids) or those people that are slightly larger than the rest and glowing.
These will give you massive boost in size – especially the meat – which will make everything a lot easier for you in that game.
The problem is that you can’t really predict in any way where these items are and simply roaming the map searching for them is not worth it. But if you see them – leave everything you were doing behind and go get them!
5. Stay away from the incoming meteorites
Soon after the game starts, meteorites will start falling from the sky. Stay away from them, as they kill you in an instant!
It’s relatively easy to avoid them, as long as you are not stuck in between some buildings. There will always be a red area on the map, visible a couple of seconds before the meteorite strikes: simply move away to stay alive.
These meteorites seem to only target you in order to increase the overall difficulty of the game, but once you get used to avoiding them, they won’t cause major problems.
6. Upgrade your dinosaur
You earn coins for your performance, and those coins can be spent on upgrading your dinosaur. Which is exactly what you should do!
There are three areas that you can upgrade: Power, Speed and Growth.
I personally believe that Growth and Speed are the most important, so I would focus on upgrading them first. I don’t really know what Power does, actually – it might influence how fast you destroy buildings and other stuff, but you destroy them faster as you grow in size anyway.
7. Focus on completing the achievements
A really simple way of making a lot of coins fast is completing the achievements in Dinosaur Rampage.
While these will be generally completed simply from playing the game, it doesn’t hurt to check them out and know what you are required to do, then focus on getting those things done.
8. How to disable ads
If the video ads in between the levels annoy you, you can disable them. For starters, I must say that I recommend doing so by paying the small fee to disable the ads. This will support the developers of the game and encourage them to make more games (plus put food on their table).
Understand that ads do the same, without you having to pay anything. But in this case they do tend to appear more often than in other titles, and that can get really annoying fast.
So if you really have watched your fair share of ads and you can’t afford to support the developers by paying to disable them, you can prevent them from showing by simply quitting the game, disabling all internet on your phone (mobile and/or WiFi), then restarting.
Have in mind that if you do this, though, you will also not be able to watch video ads to increase the amount of coins you are rewarded when a level ends.
