1. Complete the missions!

For every mission you complete, you earn a bar of experience. When you get three bars, you level up. Reaching high enough levels unlocks more powerful cars for you to buy, so be sure to check your missions. The game will show you them upon starting a new run, so try to remember what you need to do. Here are a couple of examples:

  • Drive a certain amount of yards: these ones are pretty easy and self-explanatory. Sometimes they’ll require you to drive a specific distance in a single race, and sometimes it’ll be cumulative. You’ll earn these ones naturally so don’t worry about them.
  • Overtake # of cars: these objectives are exactly like the distance ones. You’ll complete them naturally because you’re overtaking cars every second of the game!
  • Hit # of cars: this one is actually kind of tricky, as you can only hit as many cars as your damage gauge allows you to. Thankfully these objectives are cumulative so you don’t have to do it all in one run.

That’s just a sample of missions you’ll need to tackle.

2. Upgrade your engine!

Upgrading your engine increases your top speed and reduces fuel consumption. The running gear increases your lane changing speed. Body improves damage resistance. Of all three categories, you should be prioritizing engine upgrades first. You need to stay in the game as long as you can so you can knock out those missions!

3. Be careful of the red lane!

There are certain objectives that require use of the red lane. The red lane is the leftmost lane, and staying in it for longer than just a second will cause an automatic disqualification! Be sure you have a route in and out planned before you make your move. Slam into a car if necessary, if you have the durability to do so anyways.

4. Watch for the pit stop!

When a pit stop is approaching, a refueling icon will show up with a ring around it. Once the ring disappears, you will arrive at the pit stop. Move into the left lane to refuel your car – but just remember the pit stop ends eventually! Be sure to get out as soon as your tank is fuel, otherwise you might find yourself without a spot in the lane!

5. Draft for extra speed!

Staying behind a car will eventually cause wind waves to appear from it. This is the technique known as drafting, and it’ll allow you to pick up some extra speed so you can overtake your opponents easier. Draft whenever possible, but make sure to watch your speed!

6. Take out swerving cars!

There are certain cars that wiggle back and forth gently in their lane. They usually have a black paint job with a red stripe. If you slam into these cars from any direction, you’ll knock them out and get extra cash. You won’t take any damage either!

That should be a good starting point. We’ll see you at the races! If you have any other questions or suggestions, leave a comment below!
