When light fades, darkness reigns over the land. Dark Sword is an action hack’n’slash RPG where you fight evil creatures of the dark. The dark dragon has closed the gate to the sun and now the world is covered in an unending night. In this dark fantasy action game, you will fight dark monsters, earn experience, and gear up to take on the dark dragon. We’ll help you succeed in your quest with our Dark Sword cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!
1. Use autoplay!
Unless you really like playing the game yourself, turning on autoplay will make the computer control your character. Your character will automatically attack and unleash skills as it sees fit, and it usually does a great job of dispatching large hordes of enemies. Keep in mind though that the computer does not use your roll or jump abilities, but you can still manually activate them even when autoplay is on. Don’t forget to dodge every now and then!
2. Check your equipment!
You can quickly tell an item’s rarity by looking at the color of the name, but don’t just assume from there! Take the time to go through your inventory and check out the gear you’ve found during combat. They may have additional stats on them that you would not see otherwise, and they might even be upgrades to your current gear.
3. Sell excess equipment!
Once you’ve found equipment you like, sell off your old and unused equipment. You don’t get much gold from going through the levels alone, so most of your income will be from selling. Even the most common pieces of equipment will sell for around 100g. Because you’ll be upgrading your equipment so much in this game, you need all the money you can scrounge up!
4. Choose the right weapon!
When you start the game, you won’t have any active skills to use. This is because the skills you have are determined by the weapon you have equipped. When deciding on a weapon, you’ll need to try to balance your stats around. You may have a sword that has a lot of stat boosters on it, but no active skills, and vice versa. If you have a sword that has some stat boosters and one active skill, that’s a nice middle ground.
5. Fight bosses manually!
When you come across a boss, it’s best to take manual control of your character. We’ve noticed that if left on autoplay, there is a chance your character will run off to the sides and focus on the small monsters. This is because during boss fights, small monsters will continuously respawn to annoy you, and it’s better to just focus on taking down the boss.
6. Stuck? Level up and upgrade!
This is a fairly straightforward game, so if you ever get stuck, all you really need to do is upgrade your equipment. Low on gold? Try going through the earlier levels again to find more gold and gear you can sell off. You might even level up in the process. So, if you ever find yourself stuck, just go back and do easier levels.
