We’ve had our fair share of Clash of Clans clones recently, as well as games that give us the chance to build a crime empire from the ground up, but apparently you can never have enough: Crime Coast is here to prove that and in case you want to give the game a try, we’re going to help with some Crime Coast cheats and tips that will help you get the perfect base ASAP.
So if you are starting to get behind your competition or if you simply want to improve your game, read our guide and hopefully you’ll get a lot better!
1. How to build & upgrade
The order in which you build and upgrade your structures doesn’t seem to matter too much early on in the game, but pretty soon when things will get insanely expensive, you will start to care about this too. Always start by upgrading your storage (to hold as much loot as possible), then move to your defensive towers and finally go for everything else. Keep the mansion for the later moments – start upgrading it only when you have most of your other buildings maxed out already, otherwise you risk getting behind when facing tougher enemies in the multiplayer raids.
2. Be smart with trap placement
Traps can be extremely useful in the game and you will have a ton of options when it comes to placing them since you can put them on roads. I would personally suggest placing them around defensive towers to increase their protection.
3. Walls can save your resources
Unlike other games, Crime Coast does offer us a ton of walls to play with and they are more than enough to build some really decent bases. The golden rule of thumb when it comes to base building is to have as many “rooms” as possible: don’t surround everything by a big wall because the enemy only needs to break one and they’re in. Instead, build more chambers and split your defenses in each of them. If your enemies have to go through a series of walls before getting to your defenses/resources, then you will manage to put some off and win more battles than usual.
A good trick here is to pay attention to the bases that you visit: those that you don’t want to attack because they’re nicely built are those that you want to replicate. Also, if you are having trouble when attacking a specific type of base, you might want to replicate that design too.
4. Join a Mafia ASAP
Build your Club as soon as you have a chance and join a Mafia. This is the “clan” feature in other games and it’s extremely helpful because you will receive troops to aid you in combat, as well as hopefully some great tips from more experienced players. Either way, being in a Mafia helps tremendously!
5. Keep the research going
If you want to stay up to date with the growing defenses of your enemies, you really must research and upgrade your troops. Make sure that you do that constantly – start with the troops you use most in the battle, but make sure to have them all researched and upgraded because your strategies might change as you grow stronger.
6. It’s all about the resources
When attacking other players, always go for the biggest resource gains. Skulls don’t matter that much right now, so always go for the resources because that’s what you need to keep upgrading your base.
7. Choose the right Henchman
You will have to keep doing the Campaign missions in order to unlock new Henchmen and get access to new and better troops. Check them all out and decide which is the best for you in different situations – some are really expensive and not really worth the investment early on!
