Climb swiftly but surely!
We would want to tell you that you can take your time, but unfortunately the water level is rising at an alarming rate and it’s a race against time! This does not mean that you should rush, however – rushing is the quickest way to drop yourself into a watery grave. Make sure that you tap with precision, but do not ever rush yourself or else you will miss the ledge!
If you need the extra time, you can sometimes wait for the backdrop before you grab onto a plank. If you miss the grab when you are first pulling yourself up, you can grab again as you are coming back down.
Recover after a miss!
If you tap to grab when your hands are not over anything, you will hear a very distinct “whoosh” sound effect, and your climber will immediately begin to fall. However, do not panic! You can still recover if you are quick enough. As your climber falls, your current hand is still active, meaning that if you line it up and tap, you can still grab onto something even as you are falling.
Be on the lookout for special platforms!
Starting on level 3, you will start to encounter special platforms. These colored platforms will do something special if you grab onto them, so be sure to do that when you see them.
Green platforms are rocket boosters. Grabbing onto one of these will launch your climber straight up at a high speed, creating nice distance between you and the water. These things can really save your life, so do not miss them!
Blue platforms are switch platforms. Grabbing onto these will cause other platforms to appear somewhere. If you see a big gap ahead of you with nothing to grab onto, chances are there is a blue platform somewhere. Grab onto it to show the way!
Get some hats!
There are coins strewn about the levels sometimes, and you do not really have to go out of your way to grab them since your climber is so big. You can spend these coins on silly cosmetic rewards, like hats and new skins for your climber. If you really want to, you can also watch a short advertisement to earn 50 coins. You can unlock a random item once you have 250 coins. Go ahead and enjoy dressing up your climber!
