Card King: Dragon Wars Cheats: Tips & Strategies for 3 Star Ratings

Out of nowhere, Card King: Dragon Wars was launched on the App Store today and took the world by storm with amazing graphics and excellent gameplay, making it one of my favorite TCGs out there and definitely a game to recommend to all my friends. But I am not here to praise the game, even though it deserves all the praise in the world, and instead I will focus on some Card King: Dragon Wars cheats and tips that will help you get 3 star ratings in battles and build the ultimate deck.

It won’t be easy, but it will surely be fun, so let’s not waste a single second and let’s move to checking out some Card King: Dragon Wars cheats and tips to help you get better at this game.

1. Don’t forget the Helper creatures! Caught by the need to go into battle as soon as possible, I usually forget to add Helper creatures to my deck. Make sure you don’t do the same mistake, because one extra creature can change the course of the battle! Also, helper creatures do not count when it comes to lost creatures, so even if they die, your star rating won’t be affected!

2. The easiest way to get some free Dragon Stones (Gems) is by completing the Global Missions. Make sure to check out the Daily Missions too and try to complete them as well. As soon as you have enough Dragon Stones, try your luck for a premium card. 4-5 star cards won early on can make a big difference in battle!

3. Use all energy points when attacking, to maximize the use of all your action cards and Drag Attacks. However, don’t use a card just because you have points for it: sometimes, it’s better to wait for the best moment for it to have a maximized effect. But usually, it’s best to calculate all the points needed and use them all before ending your turn.

4. How you start the game matters a lot. I was, early on, tempted to start with an offensive card – but they require 35 energy and until I get the chance to use them, they’re heavily damaged by the enemy. Try going with a Support or Shield card, attack with them to build your deck and slowly pour other cards into battle. There’s little point in having all your cards on the table if you don’t attack with them: instead, start with 2 strong cards and combine Drag Attacks with card uses until you have enough energy to allow you to get another card on the table.

5. How to build a great deck
Of course, a lot of factors come into play in this chapter, including the luck you have when it comes to drawing cards or getting ones from your battles. Either way, one thing is clear: you should spend a lot of time reading and learning the stats of your cards, the cards they can give you and decide based on that when building your deck.

A deck of 4 star cards early on is not as good as a balanced deck of lower level troops. Usually, lower level troops give you cards that require less energy and being actually able to use the cards in battle early on and rush the destruction of your opponent matters! Having a ton of good cards that require 40-60 energy will not help much, so always try to find a balance here.

In my personal opinion, purple utility cards work well together, so you can go as far as building a deck of one color entirely – and purple fits the bill best since they’re useful with all types of attacks and have good cards. However, having a guard card doesn’t hurt (especially if you can get their ability that draws all attacks), but in the end, try to mix and match and test to see what works best.

Also, don’t forget the fact that all creatures have passive abilities: take them into account when building your deck to maximize the advantages and increase your chances of winning.

6. Don’t hesitate, after several battles, to level up your creatures. You should know by now which are better than the others (not only in terms of stats, but in terms of actual cards too), so start leveling up your favorite ones to make them more competitive. You also have limited storage space and even though you can pay 1 Dragon Stone for extra 5 storage, I wouldn’t suggest you do that more than once or twice. Several very good, leveled up cards, are way better than a ton of cards that you can’t use anyway. Just make sure that you are confident that the cards you are upgrading are those that you’ll keep in your deck – and try to use creatures from the same class when leveling them up!

7. Card King: Dragon Wars battle tips
Even though it is true that luck plays a major role in the game and you will always have random cards to start with, some strategies work well no matter what. First and most important, in my opinion, is to choose a target and focus to destroy it: look at the stats of the creatures (they’re shown on the bar under) and decide which is the best to take out. I personally prefer taking out Utilities first, and then Red attacking cards if they are into play.

Find the perfect balance between Drag attacks and using cards in your deck to fill up your hero’s energy meter and use the Hero Cards when their effect is maximum. Keep an eye on the cards that your enemy has left and try to have them bring enemies into battle ASAP.

8. Replay older battles
You can still get runes and creatures by replaying the older battles: and you should do so in order to increase the resources that you get and monsters that you have to use to evolve those in your hand.
