Explore the universe at your will in Space Grunts 2, the long-awaited sequel to the alien roguelike Space Grunts. Land on planets and blast the hostile aliens that have invaded one of the many space stations.

Space Grunts was a tried and true turn-based roguelike, but Space Grunts 2 mixes things up by introducing card battling into the mix. Players will still take on the role of a space explorer as they delve into infested areas, but all loot and gear picked up is added as a card to their deck.

When enemies are around, you no longer act freely; instead, you will enter a turn-based card battle where you must choose a card to defend yourself from the aliens. Naturally this slows down encounters a bit and forces players to consider all of their options before committing – the right card at the right time can make all the difference.

And, as always, the levels are all procedurally generated so no two adventures will be the same. You may come across contraptions like locked doors and machines, and these also require certain cards to activate, so be prepared for a lot of exploration.

Space Grunts 2 is available now on the App Store for 3.99 USD. An Android version is coming in the future.
