Can You Play High On Life on Switch? – Answered

High On Life is a unique and thrilling experience that takes players into a once-in-a-lifetime adventure where they’ll play as a bounty hunter who must save the earth using their various skills and alien-like weapons against hordes of enemies across different stages.

And as one might expect from a game that’s developed by Rick and Morty co-creators, High on Life has silly, comedic, immature gameplay, adult jokes, swearing, absurd scenarios, and eccentric characters. Almost similar to Borderlands or even EA’s Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath. However, can you play High On Life on Switch? Let’s answer that.

High On Life was released exclusively for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. So if you were hoping to play the game on PlayStation 4,5 or Nintendo Switch, then you’re out of luck as that won’t be happening anytime soon. The game isn’t available on PS4, PS5, and Switch due to a partnership deal between Xbox and Squanch Games.

While the company isn’t owned by Microsoft, both companies have formed a solid partnership to make High On Life exclusive on Microsoft platforms, specifically bringing the game to Game Pass at launch.

In a conversation with True Achievements, High on Life’s community lead Jordyn Halpern stated, “Having Xbox be our partner throughout this process has been an amazing experience, and that absolutely includes our ability to host High On Life day one on Game Pass.”

High on Life will see you pay as a bounty hunter who will travel between planets during their adventure, visiting memorable locations like a dense and dangerous jungle, a city built deep inside an asteroid, and a variety of other dynamic and changing worlds. You’ll “run into dangerous local wildlife, help a bunch of alien weirdos, and test their mettle against a variety of Hunter Challenges. And you’ll never be alone because your guns talk!”
