Son of the Forest is a brand new survival horror game from developers Endnight Games, the same creators who developed The Forest. Their latest survival horror takes place in a mysterious and dangerous forest where players must (as usual), explore and survive in a hostile environment that’s filled with terrifying creatures and otherworldly monstrosities.

There’re a number of interesting things you can do in the game as it features a unique blend of survival mechanics, base-building, and crafting, allowing players to build their own shelters, craft tools and weapons, and gather resources to survive. Can You Create Your Character in Sons of the Forest? Answered

While being able to create your very own character in a game is typical for survival games, that’s not always the case for most games that fall into that genre. In Sons of the Forest, you’ll take on the role of the protagonist named Eric LeBlanc throughout the game’s single-player experience.

This means you won’t be able to switch characters or create a different character and neither is there room for customising a character. And like The Forest, the story of this game revolves around a group of people who are stranded in the forest after a plane crash and must uncover the secrets of the forest while facing numerous dangers that could stop them from making it out alive.

At the start of the game, you’ll see the protagonist Eric on a helicopter flying into the island for the first time, which also proves that you will likely start and finish the game with this particular character. Eric has a tattoo on his arm that reads “Fight Demons” and that’s exactly what you’ll be up against for the most part of this game.

Sons of the Forest was launched on PC via Steam on February 23.
