How to Catch Giratina in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

In order to be able to capture Giratina, you will have to jump through some serious hoops. First, you’ll need to complete a storied event during the post-game. You need to have finished the main story, captured Dialga and Palkia, collected every Arceus Plate throughout Hisui, after which you can fight the mysterious antagonist at Temple of Sinnoh.

When you beat them, they will proceed to summon Giratina, which you will have to defeat. They will then proceed to summon Giratina in its Origin Forme, which you will have to beat as well.

After you have done this, you will have finished the story mission required to encounter and battle Giratina where you can actually capture it. Now, all you need to do is visit Turnback Cave, found in Cobalt Coastlands in the northwest corner.

Just engage with Giratina and get into battle to capture it! Make sure you save your game beforehand. It is also crucial to keep in mind that every Legendary in Pokemon Legends: Arceus is shiny-locked, and hence, no matter how much you shiny hunt, you cannot come across a shiny Giratina.
